End of august - september - Turkey

📍 Istanbul, Turkey from 30 th august to 2th sept
After a press conference, we had the opportunity to meet NGOs, cyclists and the municipality during a roundtable organized by IBB (Istanbul municipality)

In Istanbul, we met Zincirkiran Kadinlar, an amazing “chain breaking” NGO for women. We were introduced to Duru, a young student in architecture who was in need of a bicycle for a daily use.

💚 We celebrated a donation and now this Bycicle is Duru’s proud companion thank’s to Anne-Violaine ! 🚴

Thank you also Critical Mass Istanbul for welcoming the Cop29bike ride in your city !

📣 In mid-september, we held a press conference in Ankara and made contact with the municipality. We are doing our best to spread awareness on how cycling is a fantastic leverage to reduce carbon emissions in transport. By ensuring a correct understanding of this topic at municipal and national level, we can contribute to greener and quieter cities !

Our team is now cycling through Cappadocia and eastern Turkey ! 🌍

Big thanks in particular to Linda Behan, Onder Algedik, Ekin Alpagut, Elif Nuzerel, Banu Kovulmaz, Hande Karaca, Burcin Tarhan for the incredible support and team work !
